Student Competition

Oral, Essay and Art Competitions are being conducted for middle and high school students who can creatively identify and convey the contributions of African Americans in technology in one of the following areas:

1. Significant contributions of African Americans in technology African American Inventors and /or their inventions
2. Technological contributions by African Americans in the research, diagnosis and treatment of health-related illnesses.

Submission Criteria:

Art Contest
20 x 30 size board maximum

 
Essay Contest
300 words minimum - 1000 maximum
Typed and Double spaced

 
Oral Contest
2 1/2 - 5 minutes maximum delivery
Written submissions required.
Must be orally presented during the closing reception
